Construction work is near complete on the new Hill Farms State Office Building and parking ramp, on the north side of Sheboygan Avenue. For details on the project, visit the DOA website.
Madison Yards Proposal
A major private redevelopment of the former state office building site at Segoe and University has been proposed, including a hotel, housing, office and retail space. For details, visit the developer's "Madison Yards" proposal. The developer hopes to begin construction in late-2018.
The University Hill Farms Neighborhood Plan was adopted in January 2016, incorporating detailed recommendations to guide developments in the neighborhood over the next ten-to-fifteen years. The full Neighborhood Plan report can be reviewed at the City of Madison University Hill Farms Neighborhood Plan website. Additional information on the plan can be found on our Neighborhood Plan page.
Neighborhood Tree Inventory
A two-year study of trees in Hill Farms is now complete, helping the neighborhood identify areas at risk for Emerald Ash Borer infestations and providing information to residents on tree care. This project was funded by the Wisconsin DNR Urban Forestry Grant program (UF-1228-15), in partnership with the West Madison Senior Coalition. Visit our Tree Study page for the full report and an interactive map of every tree in our neighborhood.
